FAMILY COUNSELING
Family relationships are the basic source of life experience through which we define and see ourselves. They can be a source of tremendous pleasure and sometimes unbearable pain.Considering all the things we are taught in formal education, it’s interesting that most of us were never actually taught how to have relationships–how to express emotions in an appropriate manner, how to deal with differences and resolve conflict, and how to know when the relationships are not healthy and need to change. Establishing appropriate boundaries and loving authority often eludes us in our families. We end up learning through trial and error, often accompanied by a lot of heartache and pain. Family counseling is an opportunity to sort out family relationships and establish healthy patterns of relating.
